Bunker Bash: Takin’ it slow
Sat 14 September @ 8:00 PM - 1:00 AM
Hello there fellow bassheads. We’re coming back to you on the 14th with a different batch than usual. Yes yes, we are taking it more experimental this time. Get outta here with that neuro and other lovely stuff, its passé, its for your grandparents. We are going future neuro. Spearheading this, we have self-taught producer Luke Lund joining.
Luke Lund is on tour performing from the recently released and acclaimed “Lo Tech” LP out on the Mancunian record label Youth, and from “Hopium” LP forthcoming on Ohm Resistance. A nasty amalgamation of angular bass riddims, industrial grade clang and (ab)use of dub mixing techniques.
For the past 11 years he’s been recording multi-genre works revolving around aural extremes, with a scrutiny of timbre and texture – primarily through improvisation. He works with a vast repertoire anywhere from offbeat club tracks or field recordings to musique concrète or knuckle-dragging rock. Recent years have seen a shift towards shaping sound art by experimental methods of capturing and processing sound.
Go check out some of his stuff!!
Now as usual we are supported by our house artists
Miro Bollen will slay the room at the end of the night as is tradition.
And we have Breakbeat Steve opening up with some weird breakbeaterino’s. You don’t recognize Breakbeat Steve? Are you sure? You’ve danced to him before, I know you did.
We open when we do (8 in the evening)
And we start the music when we do, its probably best to come early.
Bring good vibes
Bring houmous, ras el Hanout s’il vous plait.
